Terms & Conditions
1. What this covers
SortMySite is a sole-trader service operated by Gary Piazzon ("I", "me", "Gary"). These terms apply when you ("you", "your") apply for a free website build and any ongoing hosting subscription that follows.
2. The free build
- I'll build your website at no upfront cost based on the brief you submit through this site.
- I aim to deliver a preview within 4 working days on Standard tier, 7 working days on Pro tier. These are targets, not guarantees — I'll keep you posted if anything slips.
- You'll get one round of revisions on the preview. If you need more, just ask — I'll be reasonable.
- You are under no obligation to proceed. If you don't want to keep the site, walk away — no fees, no contract, no card on file.
3. The monthly subscription
- If you choose to keep your site live, the monthly fee is £35/mo (Standard) or £65/mo (Pro), billed via Stripe.
- The fee covers hosting, SSL, security, ongoing edits (4/mo Standard, 12/mo Pro), and direct support.
- There is no minimum term. You can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice. No exit fees.
- On cancellation, the website itself is taken offline (the build and design is what your monthly fee covers). Your domain stays in your name — I'll release it back to you so you keep it. Any content you provided (logo, photos, text) is yours to use elsewhere.
4. Domains
I can source and renew domains on your behalf at cost (approximately £25/year for .co.uk). The domain is registered in your name and remains yours. If you already own a domain, I'll connect it for free.
5. Content & ownership
- You own the content of your site (text, photos, brand assets).
- I retain the right to mention the work in my portfolio unless you ask me not to.
- You confirm that any logos, photos, or content you upload don't infringe anyone else's rights.
6. Edits & ongoing changes
Each tier includes a monthly edit allowance. Unused edits don't roll over. Larger changes (new pages, full rewrites, custom features) are quoted separately and at fair rates.
7. Limitations
I'll do my best work, but I can't guarantee Google rankings, traffic levels, or business outcomes. The site is provided "as is" — I'm not liable for indirect losses or third-party service issues (e.g. domain registrars, payment processors).
8. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
