Who I am
SortMySite is a sole-trader service operated by Gary Piazzon, based in the United Kingdom. I'm the data controller for any personal data you share with me through this site or by email.

What I collect
When you fill in the brief on this site, I collect:
- Contact details — your name, email, optional phone number
- Business details — name, what you do, location, target customer
- Brand assets — your logo, photos, links to existing sites/socials, any other content you upload
- Submission metadata — date and time of submission
I do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics on this marketing site. See the cookie policy for details.
Why I collect it & legal basis
- To build your website — contractual necessity. I can't make the site without the brief.
- To contact you about your build (confirmation, preview link, follow-ups) — contractual necessity.
- To improve the service — legitimate interest in understanding what works.
Who I share it with
I use a small number of trusted third-party services to actually run things:
- Resend — sends confirmation emails to you. Your name and email are processed by Resend in the course of email delivery.
- GitHub — your generated site files (and any logos/photos you uploaded) are stored in a private GitHub repository so I can build and deploy them.
- Vercel — hosts the live preview and (if you keep the site) the final site.
- Stripe — if you keep your site, payment details are handled by Stripe directly. I never see your card details.
I do not sell your data. I do not share it with anyone else without your permission unless required by law.
How long I keep it
If you walk away after the preview, I'll delete your brief and uploaded assets within 30 days of you telling me you're not proceeding. If you keep your site, I retain the brief and assets for as long as you're a customer, plus 12 months after cancellation for accounting purposes.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access the data I hold on you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Ask me to delete your data
- Object to my processing or restrict it
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk

Changes to this policy
